Isabel is a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish and HDFS. After college, she wants to become a clinical psychologist specializing in children and adolescents. Isabel wants to provide children and families with resources and support regarding mental illness. Her main goal is to help children and adolescents gain control and understanding of their emotions so they can healthily overcome any obstacles life has thrown at them.

Isabel plans to become a child and adolescent psychologist, and the SHINE lab aligns well with my goals. She plans to go to graduate school, where she will most likely have to do research, so being exposed to a research lab will help me become familiar with everything. The SHINE lab also focuses on children's mental health, which is what she wants to study. Isabel is interested in working with parents, teachers, and children. The SHINE lab's manager and director are also inspiring and great role models; she looks forward to what they can teach her.
