Ervin Fu is a Junior at Purdue University majoring in Public Health on the pre-medical track. He comes from a family of pediatricians and has always had a passion for working with kids. Ervin is hoping to become a pediatrician or work in a pediatric specialty in the future. Being his first undergraduate research program, Ervin is more than excited to begin his research with the SHINE lab and gain a better understanding of the impact of mental health screening at a young age,
Outside of SHINE, Ervin works as a student worker at MCDLS where he spends time with children of various ages on a day-to-day basis. Ervin has worked as a pediatric intern at Parkview Health and as a tennis instructor with Acing Autism. This 8-week recurring camp gives children with autism an opportunity to get active and learn the basics of tennis. Ervinis also serves as a director within Purdue Student Government as a member of the social engagement committee.
Outside of work and school, Ervin loves to grill, cook, and go on weekend trips whenever he gets the chance. He also loves to play basketball and is a massive fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Mavericks. Ervin is eager to contribute to the SHINE lab and hopes to learn as much as possible from his experiences.
