Libby Anglin

(She/Her)

Libby Anglin is a junior at Purdue University majoring in Psychological Sciences and Sociology with a minor in Human Development Family Sciences. Her academic interests mainly focus on close relationships and family dynamics. As a SHINE Lab Undergraduate researcher, she is hopeful to gain a deeper understanding of inner lab workings, including methodology, research design, and other essential skills. Libby is excited to be a part of a lab that improves mental health in children. She is also currently involved with sociological research with the family, mainly couple dynamics, in migrant workers in China. Outside of research, Libby works at Mental Health America as a crisis hotline specialist, which has furthered interest in the impact that relationships can have on mental health. Her plan after Purdue is to pursue a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling and become a counselor in that field.

In her free time, Libby loves to draw, crochet, and read with the cutest cat in the world, Circe. She loves to have study dates with her friends on campus or at a boba tea shop. She is honored to be involved in the SHINE Lab and is delighted to be a part of something so important.
