Sadie Potts

(She/Her)

Sadie Potts is a second-year student at Purdue University double majoring in Psychology and Human Services. She is passionate about working with children and has been an advocate for early mental health care. She is also passionate about increasing mental healthcare accessibility, especially in rural areas. As a Shine Lab undergraduate researcher, she hopes to gain a deeper understanding of how families can help shape healthy and nurturing environments. She is also interested in research development and how the study can be applied in real world settings. Sadie is currently a family captain of Purdue Dance Marathon and a mentor for College Mentors for Kids. She hopes in the future to earn a masters degree in mental health counseling and work with children as a therapist.
One fun fact about Sadie is that she loves to try cooking new dishes for her roommates. In her free time, she likes spending time outside, reading, and hanging out with friends on campus! She is extremely excited for the opportunity to be a part of the SHINE Lab and cannot wait to learn as much as possible from this experience.
