Lindsay McClelland

(She/Her)

Lindsay McClelland is a full-time lab manager at the SHINE lab at Purdue University. She received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Education from Wake Forest University in May 2025. As the lab manager, she hopes to effectively contribute to research that promotes healthy social-emotional development in children. Additionally, she aims to provide strong mentorship to undergraduate researchers by supporting them in achieving their research goals. Lindsay has previously worked as a research assistant at both Wake Forest University and the University of Pittsburgh, where she contributed to studies researching adolescent well-being and parenting practices during adolescence. She has also interned with a school counselor at a Pre-K through 8th grade school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. There, she was able to assist in counseling sessions and school-wide programs that supported childhood well-being. Lindsay is committed to continuing research that supports mental health, with a long-term goal of pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She hopes to work as a licensed clinical psychologist while engaging in research that advances mental health care.

Lindsay is excited not only to be a member of this lab but also to explore her new hometown, read new mystery books, and finally see snow again!
